The Flower Must Bloom!By: Joseph H. MurrayThe flower must bloom before the seed can come forth. The seed is produced by the fruit of the flower. The seed is not a tree; it is but the making of a tree, properly fed and nourished by earth and sun. The flower of love must bloom before the seed of Abraham, Christ and of God is manifest. Nothing will cause a heart to melt and reveal the seed of God more quickly than one on whom the love of God is abundantly shed. When the seed is found in place, its future and further growth is determined by its surrounding soil. The seed of God is not a child of God; it is but the making of a child of God, properly fed by church (mother) and God (Father). Suppose we go down the street and see a harlot walking the street, and suppose we see on this street or road a drunken man in the gutter? Who knows the heart of that man or that woman better than God? My fellow earth traveler, “God is love.” Show them love! If they respond to this emotion, it is an indication that a seed is embedded there. Some of the lowest moral characters of Jesus’ day were drawn from their debauchery by His overwhelming love. Most of His miraculous healings were manifest when He was moved by His compassion for them. Why was He moved toward them? Because the Seed was hidden there, far from being seen by the natural eyes of man. “And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16). |
