The Choices of the Called

“So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen” (Matt. 20:16).
“For many are called, but few are chosen” (Matt. 22:14).
All that the Lord deals with, or calls, is a candidate for the kingdom of God (Acts 2:39), but I don’t believe all who are called enter the kingdom. Some are hindered, or stopped, before they enter the kingdom and that depending upon the kind of soil they are made of.
Some are chosen when or before they enter the kingdom, as was the case of the Apostle Paul, for it was spoken of him by God to Ananias in these words: “Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: for I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake” (Acts 9:15–16).
