It’s Not That They Didn’t ChooseBy: Joseph H. MurrayIt’s not that they didn’t choose intelligence and common decency; it’s just that intelligence and common decency didn’t choose them. I doubt, if the choice were given to them, if they would turn such admirable traits down, but theirs is a greater folly. They do not seek to better themselves. They are satisfied to be bogged in the mire of their own ignorance. Thank Almighty they are in the minority of the world’s population, for if they were not, regression could be the only result. Such coarse simplicity as theirs supports the theory of Cro–Magnon ancestorship. |
