Are We Worthy?

“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
(1Pet. 4:17)
The question, no doubt, will arise in our minds, how are we faced with judgment now? This calls to memory what Jesus said to His disciples, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matt. 18:20).
We know, of course, that this could not be His personal presence now that He has ascended back to heaven. He was speaking of His spiritual presence being among us. Any time we are faced with the eternal, there is a judgment wrought. Therefore, each one of us is judged each time we come together in His name, since being assembled in His name is in His presence. His presence, in this case, is the eternal Spirit; the life of God. He judges each one to the degree of blessing we are to receive every time we meet with Him. There is no doubt...
